Lower Division Requirements at the Alamo Colleges District for an AA or AS degree


The courses in this section meet the requirements for an Associate of Arts degree or an Associate of Science degree. The Graduation section in any catalog of the colleges in the Alamo Colleges District lists additional Degree/Certificate Requirements.

This Transfer Advising Guide provides 60 college-level hours, of which 60 will transfer and apply towards the Angelo State University baccalaureate degree in Border and Homeland Security.

Note: Angelo State University does not have a maximum number of college-level transfer hours accepted towards a baccalaureate degree.  Students must complete the specified number of advanced credits and credits in residence for their degrees.

Note: Based on student course selection, students may be eligible for an Associate of Science (AS) degree.

Angelo State University Transfer Scholarship Information


Alamo Colleges District students transferring to Angelo State University with a 2.5 GPA will be awarded a Carr Academic Transfer Scholarship.  This scholarship is automatically awarded once the student is admitted to Angelo State University.

Each College President in the Alamo Colleges District may nominate/designate Carr Presidential Transfer Scholars.  

Finally, Angelo State University will award a scholarship to Alamo Colleges District students that are members of Phi Theta Kappa.
