This Transfer Advising Guide provides 56 college-level hours, of which 55 will transfer and apply as 1 SCH of FL 1412 will transfer but will NOT be degree applicable towards Texas A&M University - San Antonio baccalaureate degree in English with Teacher Certification.

Note: Texas A&M University - San Antonio does not have a maximum number of college-level transfer hours accepted towards a baccalaureate degree. Students must complete the specified number of advanced credits and credits in residence for their degrees.

Note: Texas A&M University - San Antonio requires the Foreign Language courses to be in the same language.  Conversational courses are not acceptable for this requirement.

Field of Study Curriculum for English Language and Literature

The Field of Study (FOS) curriculum for English Language and Literature is for students who are seeking a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in English, including all specializations.  The field of study curriculum has been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).

Associate of Arts in Teaching


The AAT Degree Program Texas Teacher Certification targets individuals who have a desire to enter the field of education as a teacher, school administrator, counselor, or some aspect of child/adolescent development.  Students should check with the college department, the transfer center, or the university to which they plan to transfer for additional information.
