This Transfer Advising Guide provides 62 college-level hours, of which 62 will transfer and apply towards the Texas A&M University - San Antonio baccalaureate degree in History, Teacher Certification in Social Studies.
Note: Texas A&M University - San Antonio does not have a maximum number of college-level transfer hours accepted towards a baccalaureate degree. Students must complete the specified number of advanced credits and credits in residence for their degrees.
Note: Texas A&M University - San Antonio foreign language coursework is preferably completed in the same language. A maximum of two languages are accepted. Conversational courses are not acceptable for this requirement.
Note: Texas A&M University - San Antonio completion of 45 hours; ENGL 1301, ENGL 1302, MATH 1314, HIST 1301, HIST 1302, and 2 Life & Physical Sciences all with a C or better; Cumulative GPA of 2.75; Qualifying scores in Reading, Writing and Mathematics; and an official degree plan on file.
Note: In order for students to be recommended for teacher certification, their cumulative GPA must be a 2.75 or higher, and they must have a 2.75 GPA or higher in their teaching content area (in this case, Social Studies).
