Applicable Transfer Credit Hours
This Transfer Advising Guide provides 65 college-level hours, of which 58 will transfer and apply as EDUC 1300 and CHEM 1405 will transfer but will NOT be applicable towards the Wayland Baptist University baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Generic.
Note: Wayland Baptist University accepts a maximum of 72 college-level hours in transfer towards a baccalaureate degree. Students must complete the specified number of advanced credits and credits in residence for their degrees.
Note: Wayland Baptist University requires that all prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better. Be advised that CHEM 1405 Introductory Chemistry I is a required prerequisite for Alamo Colleges District, but NOT Wayland Baptist University .

Special Admission Requirements for Nursing at Wayland Baptist University
Admission to the Nursing Program is based on:
- GPA (must be at least 2.5)
- *Grades in Anatomy and Physiology I, II, and Pathophysiology
*TEAS scores: Overall, Reading, and English
- The School of Nursing uses the following points system:
- Science Grades
- Anatomy & Physiology I grade: A = 4 pts, B = 3 pts, C = 2 pts
Anatomy & Physiology II grade: A = 4 pts, B = 3 pts, C = 2 pts
Pathophysiology grade: A = 4 pts, B = 3 pts, C = 2 pts
- TEAS Scores
- Overall: 81.3% or greater = 4pts 71.3 -81.2% = 3pts
60.7 - 71.2% = 2pts 50.7-60.6% = 1pt
- Reading: 78.6% or greater = 3pts, 59.5 - 78.5% = 2pts, 50 - 59.4% = 1pt
- English: 86.7% or greater = 3pts, 70 - 86.6% = 2pts, 53.3 - 69.9% = 1pt
- Applicants must have 18 points or greater to be considered
