This Transfer Advising Guide provides 69 college-level hours, of which 69 will transfer and apply towards the Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi business baccalaureate degree in Management.

Note: Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi does not have a maximum number of college-level transfer hours accepted towards a baccalaureate degree. Students must complete the specified number of advanced credits and credits in residence for their degrees.

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi Foreign Language University Requirement


Foreign Language Requirement

At least two high school credits in one foreign language or American Sign Language OR two semesters of study with passing grades in a single foreign language or American Sign Language at the college level are required for graduation from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. This requirement may be met by earning a CLEP, AP, or ACTFL score equivalent to one year of college-level foreign language study. If students decide to meet this requirement by taking two semesters at the University, an assessment test must be taken prior to registering in order to be placed in the appropriate language course.

International students who have successfully passed the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 550 or higher, scored a 6.5 or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), OR have successfully completed the English as a Second Language International (ESLI) course of study may elect to choose English as their second language to meet the above requirement. Additionally, international and naturalized students who have provided proof of completion of high school in a foreign language (their native language) and who have successfully completed the English Composition and Oral Communication components of the University Core Curriculum Program may choose English as their second language to meet this requirement. English is considered to be the first language for all other students.

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi College of Business Online BBA Completion


Entry Requirements

Applicants who have completed 42 hours with a GPA of 2.0 or higher may be accepted into the Online Accounting/General Business/Marketing/Management BBA Completion Program.  Students may transition into the upper division course sequence as they complete the University Core Curriculum including the following courses or their equivalents:

  • ​ACCT 2301 - Financial Accounting 3 sem. hrs.
  • ACCT 2302 - Managerial Accounting 3 sem. hrs.
  • ECON 2302 - Microeconomics Principles* 3 sem. hrs.
  • MISY 2305 - Computer Applications in Business* 3 sem. hrs.
  • MATH 1325 - Calculus For Business & Social Sciences 3 sem. hrs. (Higher level mathematics course may be accepted as substitute with approval)
  • Non-Business Elective 3 sem. hrs.

All Business majors are required to complete the following courses as part of their University Core Curriculum Program:

  • ECON 2301 - Macroeconomics Principles* 3 sem. hrs.
  • MATH 1324 - Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences 3 sem. hrs. (Higher level mathematics course may be accepted as a substitute with approval)

Texas Transfer Field of Study Curriculum for Business Administration

The Business Administration Field of Study Curriculum is for students who are seeking a specific Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in business.

The Business Administration FOS applies to these approved CIP Codes (numerical codes corresponding to specific disciplines or subdisciplines) for the Revised Field of Study:

  • 52.0101 - Business/Commerce, General
  • 52.0301 - Accounting
