Lower Division Requirements at the Alamo Colleges District for an AS degree
The courses in this section meet the requirements for an Associate of Science degree. The Graduation section in any catalog of the colleges in the Alamo Colleges District lists additional Degree/Certificate Requirements.
Semester III
- MATH 2413 - Calculus I (AS Approved Course Requirement) will transfer as MATH 2313 AND MATH 2113 [Texas A&M University - San Antonio Mathematics (20) Core] (grade must be a “C” or better)
- Select one course from the Language, Philosophy & Culture (40) Core will transfer as Texas A&M University - San Antonio Language, Philosophy and Culture (40) Core
Semester IV
- MATH 2414 - Calculus II (AS Approved Course Requirement) will transfer as MATH 2314 AND MATH 2114 (grade must be a “C” or better)
- PHYS 2425 - University Physics I (AS Approved Course Requirement) will transfer as PHYS 2325 AND PHYS 2125 [Texas A&M University - San Antonio Life and Physical Sciences (30) Core] (grade must be a “C” or better)
- Select either SPCH 1315 - Public Speaking or SPCH 1318 Interpersonal Communication will transfer as SPCH 1315 or SPCH 1318 [Texas A&M University - San Antonio Component Area Option (90) Core] (grade must be a “C” or better)
- Select one course from the American History (60) Core will transfer as Texas A&M University - San Antonio American History (60) Core (grade must be a “C” or better)
Semester V
- PHYS 2426 - University Physics II (AS Approved Course Requirement) will transfer as PHYS 2326 AND PHYS 2126 [Texas A&M University - San Antonio Life and Physical Sciences (30) Core] (grade must be a “C” or better)
- Select one course from the Creative Arts (50) Core will transfer as Texas A&M University - San Antonio Creative Arts (50) Core
- Select one course from the American History (60) Core will transfer as Texas A&M University - San Antonio American History (60) Core (grade must be a “C” or better)
- COSC 1336 - Programming Fundamentals I (AS Approved Course Requirement) will transfer as CSCI 1336
Applicable Transfer Credit Hours
This Transfer Advising Guide provides 60 college-level hours, of which 54 will transfer and apply, as MATH 1414, 1 SCH of EDUC 1300 and 1 SCH of MATH 2412 will transfer but will NOT be applicable towards the Texas A&M University - San Antonio baccalaureate degree in Mathematics.
Note: Texas A&M University - San Antonio does not have a maximum number of college-level transfer hours accepted towards a baccalaureate degree. Students must complete the specified number of advanced credits and credits in residence for their degrees.
