Applicable Transfer Credit Hours
This Transfer Advising Guide provides 62 college-level hours, of which 59 will transfer and apply as EDUC 1300 will transfer but will NOT be applicable towards the Sam Houston State University baccalaureate degree in Dance.
Note: Sam Houston State University accepts a maximum of 66 college-level hours in transfer towards a baccalaureate degree. Students must complete the specified number of advanced credits and credits in residence for their degrees.
Note: Sam Houston State University recommends that students take and complete 15-16 SCH per semester.
Note: Sam Houston State University requires only grades of C or higher in all dance courses that will apply towards the BFA in Dance.
Note: Sam Houston State University requires their DANC 1201 Pilates-based Conditioning for Dance. Students must complete ACD KINE 1131 Pilates I and KINE 2131 Pilates II in order to earn credit for their DANC 1201.
Note: Sam Houston State University requires 6 SCH of Ballet Dance Technique. Students must complete 6 SCH from ACD DANC 1241 Beginning Ballet and DANC 2241 Intermediate Ballet in order to earn credit for their DANC 1333 Ballet Dance Technique I/DANC 2333 Ballet Dance Technique II. Be advised students will need to repeat ACD DANC 1241 or DANC 2241 once to meet the 6 SCH requirement.
Note: Sam Houston State University requires 6 SCH of Modern Dance Technique. Students must complete 6 SCH from ACD DANC 1245 Beginning Modern Dance and DANC 2245 Intermediate Modern Dance in order to earn credit for their DANC 1334 Modern Dance Technique I/DANC 2334 Modern Dance Technique II. Be advised students will need to repeat ACD DANC 1245 or DANC 2245 once to meet the 6 SCH requirement.
