Semester II
- Select either ENGL 1302 - Composition II or will transfer as ENGL 1302 or ENGL 2311 [Texas A&M University - San Antonio Communication (10) Core] (grade must be a “C” or better)
- MATH 2412 - Precalculus º will transfer as MATH 2312 [Texas A&M University - San Antonio Mathematics (20) Core] (grade must be a “C” or better)
- *** § BIOL 1407 - Biology for Science Majors II º will transfer as BIOL 1307 and BIOL 1107 [Texas A&M University - San Antonio Life and Physical Sciences (30) Core] (grade must be a “C” or better)
- Select one course from the will transfer as Texas A&M University - San Antonio American History (60) Core (grade must be a “C” or better)
Semester III
- Select one course from the will transfer as Texas A&M University - San Antonio American History (60) Core (grade must be a “C” or better)

Semester IV

Semester VI
- Select one course from the will transfer as Texas A&M University - San Antonio Social & Behavioral Sciences (80) Core
- Select either ( º OR º AND º) or ( º OR º AND º) will transfer as (CHEM 2325 and CHEM 2125) or (PHYS 1302 or PHYS 1102)
Applicable Transfer Credit Hours
This Transfer Advising Guide provides 70 college-level hours, of which 65 will transfer and apply, as MATH 1314/MATH 1414 and 1 SCH of MATH 2412 will transfer, but will NOT be applicable towards the Texas A&M University - San Antonio baccalaureate degree in Biology with Teacher Certification.
Note: Texas A&M University - San Antonio does not have a maximum number of college-level transfer hours accepted towards a baccalaureate degree. Students must complete the specified number of advanced credits and credits in residence for their degrees.
Note: ACD Math Faculty Highly Recommend MATH 1414 for all Pre-Calculus (STEM) Track Programs.
Students may still take the following Texas A&M University - San Antonio degree required courses:

The Associate of Science (AS) is designed to align closely with the first half of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Students should follow the pre-major AS to BS Transfer Advising Guide for the major and university selected. The Transfer Advising Guides are developed in conjunction with the senior institution to which the student plans to transfer.
To be awarded the AS degree at one of the colleges in the Alamo Colleges District, students must have 9 hours of AS Approved Course Requirements not included in the 42 hours of Core Curriculum. Please check with your advisor for assistance.
Field of Study Curriculum for Biology

The Field of Study (FOS) curriculum for Biology is for students who are seeking a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in Biology, including all biology specializations.
